Blake Price, born October 17, 1997, to the parents of Glenn and Tasha Price of Dudley, NC, started singing at age three. Parents say they were driving home from the hospital and Blake was sitting in his child seat trying to sing a song by Bob McDil called "It Must Be Love." "Son, you like that song?" asked Dad. "Yeah, me like that song, Dad," answered Blake. Dad practiced with Blake while Mom made him a cowboy outfit. Weeks later they decided to enter him into a talent contest in Orlando, Florida, and Blake won. Blake has been performing ever since.

Parents talk about an amazing event that happened when Blake was four years old. Dad overheard Blake singing in his sleep early one morning and woke Mom up to witness this bizarre occurrence. Dad said, "Blake sang the song 'Watermelon Crawl' all the way through from start to finish and I haven't even taught him all of the words yet!" When Blake finished Dad told him, "Good job, Son." But Blake was fast asleep. Mom and Dad said this was very unusual. Next day, Dad asked Blake to practice "Watermelon Crawl". Blake then told his dad about the dream. Blake put his hand out like a stop sign and said, "We don't have to practice this song. I already know it. You see, Jesus came to me in my sleep and told me to sing. I knew it was Jesus because He told me who He was. Since that was the song I knew, I sang it to Jesus. I was in a big church singing, just Jesus and me. When I finished singing Jesus was gone; I wanted to find Mom and Dad so I could tell them who I had just seen, but they weren't there. I went to the door to see where everyone had gone, but when I opened the door all I saw was clouds." Mom and Dad said it sent chills through their spine when they heard this. The parents want to witness this with everyone.

Blake says he is bashful, but he loves singing in front of a lot of people. It has given him the opportunity to meet some really nice people and travel. Blake has sung at many different types of events including churches, fairs, backyard barbecues, Christmas shows, school events, fire department events, VFW's, American Legions, retirement homes, apartment housing events, restaurants and shopping centers. He has even sung at his parents annual Christmas dinner at their prior job. Blake has performed in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Florida. At five years old, Blake won male vocalist and Entertainer of the Year for his age group of 3 to 6 for the state of Florida. Blake competed at Country Tonight Theater in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, at a North America Country Music Association, International, in March 2004 and won. Blake has performed on local television in Goldsboro and Greenville, NC. Various newspapers have written about him. He has even been a Grand Marshal in a local parade. Blake sang "I Saw the Light" with the Malpass Family and Don Helms, who is the only surviving member of the band, The Drifting Cowboys (the lake Hank Williams, Sr.'s band). Blake's favorite singers are his Dad, Alan Jackson, and Buddy Jewel. Favorite songs to sing are "Peace in the Valley", "I'm Gonna Walk Dem Golden Stairs", "Help Pour Out the Rain", "It Must Be Love", and "Where I Come From."

Blake especially loves gospel and country music but sings other types of music as well. He says that the key to singing is singing from the heart. You can tell when a person feels the song they are singing. Blake says he dreams about singing on the Grand Ole Opry and signing a recording contract. If that doesn't happen, he wants to continue singing and making people happy. Blake currently knows many songs considering he loves doing other things like playing baseball, swimming, playing video games, going to the movies and attending church.

At age seven, Blake made his first country recording called The Little Cowboy's Choice of Songs. At ege eight, Blake completed another recording called Blake Price: My Father and I. Blake told his father he especially enjoys being invited to church events to perform. At Blake's request his father joined him in recording My Father and I which includes many of Blake's favorites, especially "Peace in the Valley". His father says it is an honor singing with his son. Blake and his father have begun writing songs, and currently Blake is taking guitar lessons.

No event is too small or too big, even private home get-togethers, cookouts, etc. Parents say Blake is one of the gifts from God on or off the stage. You be the judge.
